One of the best researched and well-written books which I have read on this subject of a very disturbing period in the dark history of our country, the United States Government's explicit genocide policies at the highest level towards the Native American peoples.Chapter 24, "The Soldiers could not go any further, and they knew that they had to die", beginning on page 302, provides intimate details of the actual timeline of the Battle of the Little Big Horn, which was led by Oglala Sioux Chief Crazy Horse -- not by Sitting Bull, which many people have been led to believe.
